Housekeeping : The Housekeeper position plays an important role in creating a memorable first impression for guests from the moment they enter their tent. Under Canvas is known for providing guests with a glamping experience that includes all the comforts and luxury of home. The Housekeeper role is to ensure tent accommodations are clean, well-maintained, replenished with consumables, and ready for guests to enjoy their stay. Participants should take pride in following protocol by meticulously and consistently ensuring tents are clean, well-stocked, and ready to welcome guests.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Greeting guests and responding to guest queries.
– Cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms.
– Cleaning public areas of the hotel.
– Making beds and removing guest linens.
– Dusting, cleaning floors, showers, sinks, and toilets, and sanitizing personal guest spaces.
– Restocking bathroom amenities, taking out trash, some cleaning of common areas.
– Returning and restocking cleaning equipment at end of shift.
– Laundry duties as assigned.
– General cleaning is required.
– Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary.

**Participants will live onsite in a mobile home provided by the employer. Mobile homes vary in size with 2-3 bedrooms per unit, depending on unit. Each participant will share a bedroom with 1 other participant. Housing is furnished and includes kitchen, bathroom, and common living area. Housing assignments will be determined by employer upon arrival. While Under Canvas offers housing at no cost to team members, it is seen as a taxable (fringe) benefit by the IRS. This means that the value of the rent you are receiving must be included in your taxable income on your W2, and therefore is subject to withholdings on your paychecks. Under Canvas has determined that the monthly fair market value of rent to be included in gross income per individual is $300 per month. Tax rates and withholdings vary based on your individual tax circumstances.
