Dishwasher : Dishwashing duties include, but are not limited to, the following tasks. Some Food Preparation tasks will also be assigned based on business needs.
Dishwashing:
– Ensuring the dish area is supplied with necessary cleaning products
– Keeping dish machine clean
– Reporting any problems or malfunctions while cleaning various dish ware in a timely manner
– Sweeping and mopping the kitchen and storage area regularly
Food Preparation:
– Assisting cooks in the kitchen
– Assembling ingredients for menu items
– Stocking and cleaning food pantries and storage
– Reading computer-printed order tickets and correctly identifying all listed items
Busser/Food Runner/Host : cleaning tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, make sure diners’ water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service Bussers might help servers bring food out to a table, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs. Acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff. Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies).
Line Cook & Stationary Food Truck Crew Member : Stationary Food Truck Crew Members are responsible for assigned kitchen preparation lists, set up service stations, prepare all ingredients and menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines, and clean and sanitize work areas. Stationary Food Truck Crew Members must practice exceptional safety, sanitation, and food handling skills in all aspects of the job. Participants must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds (14 kilograms).
Line cook duties will include setting up stations for service, maintain product presentation and quality and cook time standards, and preparing menu items according to recipes and presentation specifications. Other responsibilities might include daily food preparation, work area cleaning and sanitizing.
General cleaning is required, and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary. Participants must be comfortable using cleaning chemicals and handling pork and alcohol.
Prep Cook : assigned kitchen preparation lists, set up their station for service, and prepare all menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines. Other responsibilities might include cleaning and sanitizing work area, and other duties as assigned. Prep cooks must practice exceptional safety, sanitation, and food handling skills in all aspects of the job. Prep Cooks must be able to stand for long periods of time, reach, and at times, lift and carry up to 30 lbs. **Participants will live in a 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom house. Each bedroom will be shared by two participants. There will be two full or queen size beds per room. Shared communal spaces include a large kitchen, dining area, two living spaces, and a storage area. Housing is co-ed, but rooms are not co-ed and are separated by gender. Internet and laundry facilities are available.
