Job Description

Housekeeping : Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors. Clean and stock restrooms. Clean up spills with appropriate equipment. Notify managers of necessary repairs. Collect and dispose of trash. Assist guests when necessary. Keep linen room stocked. Properly clean upholstered furniture.

Lifeguard : Supervises swimming activities at the aquatics facility and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed. Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary. Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates aquatics emergency action plan as required. Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable. Supervises and assists in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment, assists with chlorine residual water tests and with records and charts of water tests and records of accidents, and adds chemicals to pool water as directed. Instructs or assists classes in fundamentals of swimming as needed. Resolves scheduling conflicts to ensure safe pool environment when competing programs/priorities require use of aquatic facilities.”

Water Slide Attendants : Responsible for operating the top of the water slides. Enforce water slide rules to ensure the safety of patrons. Ensure the safety of the patrons by enforcing the rules of the facility. Sanitize pool deck and facility as assigned by the pool manager.

Resort Worker : Resort workers assist the public at spas, luxury hotels, casinos, theme parks, and lodges. Employment opportunities range from entry-level housekeepers and retail clerks to highly specialized game attendants and ski instructors.

**Employer provides shared dormitory-style housing with shared bathrooms for their employees. Housing is located within walking distance of work site and each room will have a microwave and small refrigerator. A full shared kitchen is available, but it must be kept clean. Failure to keep kitchen clean may result in kitchen closing for 2-3 days. Coin-operated laundry is available on-site. Bed linens will not be provided by employer, but participants can purchase extra long twin sheets, pillow case, pillow, bath towel, washcloth and laundry bag from employer for $35 (will be payroll deducted).

Transportation to work

Students can walk or ride a bike.
