Housekeeping and Front Desk : This position rotates between Housekeeping and Front Desk positions, based on business need and at the employer’s discretion.
Housekeeping duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Picking up after guests, cleaning guest rooms and public areas of the hotel
– Cleaning guest bathrooms including sinks, showers, and toilets.
– Making beds, removing guest linens
– Dusting furniture and fixtures, emptying trash cans and cleaning windows
– Keeping guest rooms stocked with accessories and the bathrooms stocked with supplies
– Washing floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, laundry
– Ensure guests receive exceptional customer service
After completing the first two weeks of on-the-job training, housekeepers are expected to be able to clean a vacant room within thirty minutes and provide stay-over service within fifteen minutes.
Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary.
Front Desk duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Registering and assigning rooms to guests and issuing room keys
– Transmitting and receiving messages
– Keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts
– Making and confirming reservations
– Collecting payments from departing guests
– Presenting room stay statements to guests
– Answering phone calls in a friendly manner
– Folding sheets and towels
– Welcoming guests in the lobby
– Cleaning the lobby
– Providing excellent customer service to guests

** Participants will be placed in one of the following housing options: 1) Participants share a 2-bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom located onsite at the hotel. There is a second full bathroom around the corner from the apartment for participant use. The apartment includes a large common area and small kitchenette as well as a grill for use outdoors. There is one apartment for males and one apartment for females. 2) Four participants will share a large hotel suite with 1 bathroom, refrigerator, and microwave. Employer provides an air-fryer, and participants have access to a grill for use outdoors.
