Food and Beverage Attendant/Server : The Food and Beverage Attendant/Server position is the main point of contact for guests during their dining experience at the cafe style restaurant.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Cheerfully greeting and serving guests at the restaurant counter.
– Providing stellar service, ensuring guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal outside together with family, friends, and nature.
– Engaging with guests and making recommendations.
– Processing transactions accurately, in a timely manner
– Running food and drinks to guests.
– Supporting entire team with operations as needed.
– General cleaning upon completion of work shift is also required.
– Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.
Kitchen Utility/Prep Cook : The Kitchen Utility position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Participants in this position will report to a Kitchen Manager, and will work with a team of peers to keep things clean and organized in the kitchen and ready to serve guests. Bussing tables and general cleaning upon completion of work shift are also required. This position requires long periods of standing, some lifting and bending and the use of cleaning chemicals.
The Prep Cook position is an integral part of the company’s food and beverage team. Participants in this position will work with other Back of House team members to deliver on culinary standards. Participants will support the food & beverage operation with both preparation of ingredients using methods such as chopping, slicing, dicing, blending, mixing and basic cooking techniques. This role is critical to the success of overall operation. Participants will keep Under Canvas guests and team members safe by following food safety and sanitation protocols. Participant’s goal is to work as a team to produce quality dishes and create memorable dining experiences.
Line Cook : The Line Cook position plays an integral part of the food and beverage program. Participants in this position will work with the Back of the House team to produce high quality dishes and create memorable dining experiences for guests. Under Canvas caters to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements.

– Working with team to maintain smooth kitchen and dining room operations.
– Supporting Back of the House team with basic cooking tasks including grilling, sautéing, frying and ingredient preparation.
– Assisting team prepare and operate outdoor pop-up dining experiences as needed.
– Supporting food & beverage operations using basic food preparation and cooking techniques, including chopping, slicing, dicing, blending, mixing and other ingredient preparation tasks.
– Keeping Under Canvas guests and team members safe by following food safety and sanitation protocols.
– General cleaning upon completion of work shift are also required.
– Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

**Participants will live onsite in a mobile home provided by the employer. Mobile homes vary in size with 2-3 bedrooms per unit, depending on unit. Each participant will share a bedroom with 1 other participant. Housing is furnished and includes kitchen, bathroom, and common living area. Housing assignments will be determined by employer upon arrival. While Under Canvas offers housing at no cost to team members, it is seen as a taxable (fringe) benefit by the IRS. This means that the value of the rent you are receiving must be included in your taxable income on your W2, and therefore is subject to withholdings on your paychecks. Under Canvas has determined that the monthly fair market value of rent to be included in gross income per individual is $300 per month. Tax rates and withholdings vary based on your individual tax circumstances.
