Housekeeping: Participants will be responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, cleaning bathrooms, reporting necessary maintenance repairs, and assisting guests in a kind and courteous manner. Additional responsibilities may include washing and folding of all bed linens and towels, sorting, folding, and distributing clean linens, and delivering and picking up laundry. General cleaning and additional duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary. Participants will be in contact with cleaning chemicals in this position.

Failure to reserve housing immediately upon receipt of job offer may result in more expensive housing costs or no housing available upon arrival. Housing terms are subject to change. Two participants will share a room in a dormitory. Roommate requests should be made on the contract. In order to be placed together, both participants must request the other person as a roommate on the contract. Participants who do not want to share a room must pay more for a single occupancy room. Rates are subject to change. Exact pricing will be provided to participants when they make their reservation. Cost of housing can range from $80-$120 per person, per week for a double occupancy room There is a dresser, bed, desk and closet for each person in the room. The bathrooms on each floor are communal bathrooms with individual lockable stalls with a shower, sink and toilet. A kitchen and laundry are also shared on each floor. Payment will be made to the main office at UW Superior, either by cash, check, or credit card. Housing is only available from May 22 to August 5. The employer will assist in providing housing after August 5 for approximately the same price. UW Superior is on a bus route and walking distance to McDonalds and Burger King. There is a Super One grocery store about a mile away that is also on the bus route. Bike storage is available inside the dormitory, as well as outside on racks. HOUSING CHANGE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS IN EARLY AUGUST When university students return in early August, participants will move into Barkers Island Inn for the remainder of their program. Participants will share a hotel room that offers two full beds, a bathroom, a mini-fridge and a microwave. Two participants will share a hotel room for $130 per person, per week.
