Front Desk : Duties include but are not limited to handling reservations, answering guest questions, processing payments, and answering the phone. General cleaning and other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Housekeeping/Laundry : Position requires cleaning guest rooms and public areas of the hotel and greeting and responding to guest queries. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning guest bathrooms, making beds, removing guest linens, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning floors, showers, sinks, and toilets. Restocking bathroom amenities as well as beverages and food items in minibar, taking out trash, some cleaning of common areas, returning and restocking cleaning cart at end of shift and laundry duties will be required as well. Housekeeping requires participants to use cleaning chemicals. Laundry duties include laundering and folding hotel linens. This position requires following specific instructions on service, as well as a lot of physical activity including standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting, bending, kneeling and walking up and down stairs.

Spirit identified the following housing option on behalf of Host Employer: ROCKER SQUARE II APARTMENTS South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SDSM&T) 311 East Saint Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701 This housing has unique guidelines. PARTICIPANT MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS UPON RECEIPT OF VISA, BEFORE LEAVING YOUR HOME COUNTRY. HOST EMPLOYER WILL PAY THE HOUSING COST AND PAYROLL DEDUCT. DESCRIPTION Participant will have a private bedroom, but will share common space with up to 3 others. The apartment is partially furnished and all utilities are included. Each apartment includes a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Each apartment either has one or two bathrooms shared. Participant will need to bring their own bed linens, towels and kitchen utensils. Internet is provided. WIFI is also available in the student union during business hours at no cost. Host employer will cover housing cost and payroll deduct until amount is paid off. Participant must pay the $150 cash deposit upon arrival or will not be allowed to move in. This housing is available May 27 – August 11. Employer will provide housing at a cost equal to or lower than Rocker Square housing rate after August 11. Participants with a start date before May 27 will be provided housing by the Host Employer at a cost equal to or lower than Rocker Square housing rate. May arrivers MUST NOT ARRIVE MORE THAN 1 day before program start date.
