Housekeeping/Breakfast Attendant : Participants will rotate between Housekeeping/Houseman and Breakfast Attendant/Front Desk duties when needed. Housekeeping/Houseman duties include, but are not limited to: picking up after guests, cleaning guest bathrooms including showers, sinks, and toilets, making beds, removing guest linens, dusting furniture and fixtures, mopping floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows, keeping the guest rooms stocked with accessories and the bathrooms stocked with supplies, and doing some laundry. This position requires participants to use cleaning chemicals. General cleaning and other duties will be assigned by supervisor as necessary. Position requires following specific instructions on service, as well as a lot of physical activity including heavy lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and walking up and down stairs.
Breakfast Attendant/Front Desk duties include but are not limited to: setting up and restocking food items, greeting guests, setting up tables and food trays, possible handling of pork, cleaning throughout and at the end of breakfast hours. Front desk duties are answering the phones and guest questions, responding to guest requests, accepting payments, and handling reservations. General cleaning is required and additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary.
Participants may be able eligible for a wage increase at the discretion of the host employer: $18.00 per hour first 30 days; $19.00 per hour during 31-60 days; $20.00 per hour 61 days to end of program
