Job Description

Guest Room Attendant : The Housekeeper responsibilities will include but are not limited to; cleaning and maintaining guest rooms for arriving guests, as well as servicing rooms for guests during their stay. Determines that room has been vacated and proceeds to clean and service the room in specified procedures, including dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, mirrors, emptying trash, making beds, replenishing towels and supplies, and any other tasks needed. Responsible for the security of assigned room keys. Replenishes supplies where needed, maintaining housekeeping cart, linen supply, and supply closet areas neat and fully stocked Promptly report any maintenance or guest needs to Supervisor. Environmental factors, including but not limited to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and stress-related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment. Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel areas. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must not have allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals.

Pool Attendant : Pool Attendants are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service in the pool and sun deck areas in accordance with the company’s mission and vision.

Duties and Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
Keeping the pool area and sun decks clean, organized, and clear of debris.
Arranging and straightening patio furniture in the pool area and on the sun decks.
Hosing down decks, cleaning windows, vacuuming the pool (as trained), and removing trash from the pool and deck areas.
Monitoring the safety of the pool and surrounding areas by enforcing pool rules calmly and respectfully and reporting unsafe behavior or hazards to a supervisor.
Opening and closing the pool area according to hotel procedures.
Assisting with monitoring and maintaining pool and spa temperatures and chemical levels in
line with training and safety guidelines (only as directed and trained by management).
Keeping towel bins neat, stocked with clean towels, and removing soiled towels to the
laundry room (located on the ground floor).
Monitoring occupancy in the pool area (maximum 92 guests) using the in-house report and notifying a supervisor if capacity limits are reached.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on the pool deck; use hands and fingers to handle towels, equipment, and cleaning tools; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, and lift while moving towels, furniture, and supplies. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and to kneel or crouch when cleaning low or hard-to-reach areas. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds (34 kg) using proper lifting techniques. Repetitive motions are required on a regular and continuing basis to perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, wiping windows, hosing decks, and folding towels. This position is performed in a warm, humid environment with frequent water exposure.

Housemen :The Houseman’s duties include but are not limited to: transporting trash, sanitizing carts, breaking down boxes, and delivering supplies to housekeeping. Spot cleaning carpets, including removing gum, waxing, buffing service areas. Steam cleaning upholstery. Moving equipment. Clean “high areas” using a ladder, including windows. Reporting maintenance defects. You will also have to move furniture as necessary for cleaning purposes, assume responsibilities and assist the common area person and housekeeping department when needed. Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel areas. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours. Must not have allergies to dust or cleaning chemicals. Must have the following abilities: bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, climbing, lifting, carrying, and kneeling. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 75lbs (34.02kg)

**You may choose to live in employer-provided on-site housing or arrange your own off-site housing at your own expense; housing is not mandatory. It is your responsibility to contact the employer to arrange on-site housing. On-site housing is available only to participants who are actively employed by Club Boardwalk Resorts; friends who are not employed by the company are not allowed to live in participant housing.

The $570 housing deposit is due in full upon arrival and is paid directly to the employer or housing provider. Once you take occupancy in on-site housing, your deposit will be forfeited if you choose to move out before the agreed end of your program dates or if you leave your job. The room will have been removed from availability, prepared, and cleaned for your stay, with utilities and labor costs covered, so please make your choice carefully to avoid forfeiting your deposit. coordinators cannot negotiate the return of this deposit, as it is handled directly by the employer
