Operations Technician : As an Operations Technician at The Monument, you’ll play an essential role in preparing the facility for a wide variety of events—from concerts and conventions to sporting events and banquets. This hands-on position involves physical work, teamwork, and a flexible, can-do attitude.
Job Duties Include:
Preparing and maintaining the facility before, during, and after events Setting up and tearing down equipment, including pipe and drape, tables, chairs, staging, and athletic flooring
Performing large-area cleaning and event space resets Wiping down surfaces (including bathrooms), picking up trash, and emptying bins Handling cleaning products and equipment safely and responsibly Moving and organizing event materials and supplies Working both independently and as part of a team to meet event setup timelines Supporting other departments as needed to ensure event success

Cook : Join the dynamic team at The Monument, Rapid City’s premier event venue! As a Cook, you’ll support a wide range of exciting events—from concerts and sports games to banquets and catered gatherings.
Job Duties Include: Prepare ingredients including washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring. Cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and production schedules. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, steamers, and slicers.
Maintain food quality, appearance, and consistency. Assist with banquet, catering, and concession food production.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Monitor food temperatures and proper storage procedures.
Keep workstations, kitchen areas, and equipment clean and organized. Assist with inventory rotation and restocking supplies.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and event personnel.
Position Requirements: Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and food safety practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

**The house has a complete kitchen, including kitchenware, beds, bedding, linens, etc. Laundry is
located inside the house. Males will live in the house at 1422 Space Avenue. There will be no mixing of genders in the housing. This housing can hold up to 12 people.
YOU WILL NEED YOUR HOUSING ADDRESS TO COMPLETE YOUR GOOGLE HOUSING FORM.
The Google form needs to be completed at least one month before arrival.
You will be responsible for keeping common areas clean. After cooking in the kitchen, you need to wash your dishes, pots, and pans, leaving the kitchen sink empty, wiping the stove down, cleaning the counters, etc. Be a considerate roommate by checking the food in the fridge and tossing anything that is no longer usable. You will also need to help keep the bathroom, living room, etc, clean and orderly. It is important to work together to keep the housing provided to you clean and orderly. If you find a leak in the bathroom or kitchen, you must report it immediately to get it fixed. Your landlord may schedule a time to stop by and walk through, with proper notice, to ensure everything is working as needed in the housing and ensure you are maintaining the unit.
Transportation to work
Housing is approximately a mile (1.6 km) from work. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to get to work from the housing. A bus is also available or if there is no snow on the ground, you could probably ride a bike if you get a bike helmet and learn the rules of the road.
