Job Description

Cashier : Cashier duties include but are not limited to: interacting with customers, taking and delivering food orders to customers, offering food recommendations, checking on customers, bussing tables when necessary, pouring and restocking beer and wine, processing guest checks and payments utilizing the point-of-sale system. Other duties include emptying garbage, keeping work area restocked, tidy, and clean and following all other opening and closing procedures. General cleaning and other duties may be assigned by supervisor.

Dishwasher : Dishwasher duties include but are not limited to: scraping, racking and stacking glassware/plateware/silverware properly in the dishwasher, washing pots, pans and dishes by hand or using dish equipment, restocking all ware when clean. Additional duties include removing garbage and recyclable materials from the kitchen area to appropriate receptacles, as well as sweeping and mopping, assisting with bussing tables, restocking beer, and organizing products in back room.

Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining a clean workstation, assisting kitchen staff when required and assisting in overall kitchen cleanliness, such as breaking down boxes and taking out garbage. Dishwashers will come into contact with cleaning chemicals and wear rubber gloves. This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting and general cleaning. Other duties may be assigned as necessary by supervisor.

Line Cook : As a Line Cook, the participant is an integral part of the restaurant team. Participant will work with other Back of the House team members to deliver on culinary standards in the live fire kitchens. Duties include but are not limited to: setting up and stocking food items, preparing food items by cutting, chopping, prepping pizzas and preparing sauces. Cooking food using oven/ pasta maker in a timely manner and checking on the pizzas/pastas/calzones/salads/subs cooking. Additional duties include maintaining cleanliness of the working space and being efficient.
Participant in this position will either cook everything listed above or be the pizza cutter that takes everything out of the oven to be served to the customer while maintaining good presentation.

**Participant will share a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom manufactured house with other J1 participants and American coworkers. Participant will share a bedroom with up to two other participants. House includes a full kitchen, living room, laundry facilities, and wifi.
