Amusement Ride Operator (Dry Rides) :Ride Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the rides at Water Safari. The primary responsibility is to assist each guest in safely riding each ride. Ride Operator positions involve working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ride Operators have a high level of guest interaction.

Essential Duties:
• Follow strict guidelines with regard to safety and emergency procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness of the rides and surrounding work areas
• Know and enforce all safety policies, rules and regulations for each ride
• Assist guests on and off of rides
• Secure all safety restraints
• Safely operate ride controls
• Understand and clearly communicate safety rules and procedures in English
• Stand and attentively watch each ride cycle, constantly checking for safety issues
• Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures
• Greet guests and team members in a professional and friendly manner

Aquatics-Dispatcher :The Aquatics-Dispatcher position oversees the safety and operations of the Aquatics Department. To ensure a safe and fun environment for our guests. Responsibilities include:
• Monitor and manage the flow of guests on aquatic attractions to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Communicate with lifeguards and other staff to coordinate guest dispatch and handle any issues.
• Perform safety checks and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and answering any questions they may have.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or other assistance as needed.

This position is regularly exposed to all types of weather conditions, are required to stand for extended periods of time including standing in water that is up to 2 feet. This position requires working independently as well as part of a team and having good communication skills.

Lifeguard :Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining constant vigilance over swimmers and enforcing rules to prevent accidents and injuries and for the safe and efficient operation of Water Safari’s aquatic areas. Lifeguards are regularly exposed to all types of weather conditions & are required to stand for extended periods of time. Lifeguards must maintain the cleanliness of the pools & surrounding work areas. Lifeguards will be required to participate in weekly in-service training sessions to maintain and improve lifeguarding skills. Lifeguards must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and possess good communication skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Monitor pools with constant attention to all guests in your area

• Maintain the cleanliness of the pools and surrounding work areas
• Know and enforce all safety policies, rules and regulations
• Work well independently and as a part of a team
• Understand and clearly communicate safety rules and procedures
• Rescue guests and perform appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid
• Attend required in-service training to maintain and improve life-guarding skills
• Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures
• Greet guests, team members and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, answer questions, provide direction and assist in resolving concerns

**Housing is located on-site at Enchanted Forest/Water Safari. Participants will live with other J-1 and American college-aged employees. Participants share a building (12-14 students per unit). There is a shared kitchen, coin-operated washer and dryers on-site, and free Wi-Fi in all houses. Participants are expected to participate equally in efforts to keep the entire house clean throughout the entire season to ensure the full refund of the deposit. Participants may be asked to move houses or bedrooms to consolidate at either the beginning or end of the season or any other time due to the unlikely circumstance of maintenance needs. If maintenance is required and/or there is requested maintenance within the housing unit, maintenance staff will enter the house to assess/fix the situation, with or without warning. There is a $10 key replacement fee.
