Job Description

Housekeeping/Laundry Attendant : Housekeeping/Laundry Attendants will clean each assigned guest room according to the current brand standard. Attendants must practice positive guest relations by demonstrating Western state’s Lodging & Management hospitality and service standards.
Lifting requirement: 25lbs/11kgs

Duties include emptying the trash, changing linens and making beds properly, and cleaning bathrooms, including shower curtains, walls, mirrors, bathtubs, toilets, and floors. Attendants restock carts, properly place standard items in the bathroom area, dust room items, vacuum floors, clean inside drawers, and clean and check under beds.

Participants may be assigned Front Desk responsibilities based on business needs and Front Desk hours are not guaranteed.
Front Desk Attendants duties include registering guests and assigning rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Attendants also check guests out efficiently and assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.

Participants must be hard-working and ready to carry out, within their capabilities, additional duties and reasonable requests as needed by management. Prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching, are required. Participants must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.

**Participants will live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. The house is fully furnished with a living room and full kitchen. Each room will be shared by two or three people, and housing is shared with other J-1 participants and domestic seasonal staff. Note that internet/Wifi is not available in housing.
